ParentsCount is a component that you can add to your own school or district web site.
ParentsCount is a resource to assist parents in the following areas:
- How to help their children succeed
- How to make effective connections with the school that will facilitate success
- How to be better, more effective parents
ParentsCount will help you:
- Demonstrate your commitment to working with parents and helping them help their children succeed in school.
- Enhance the partnership between your schools and the parents in your district.
- Sustain parent involvement from elementary school all the way through high school.
- Provide useful, much-needed help, as well as crucial information to parents.
- Meet your obligations under Section 1118(e) to provide materials and training to assist parents in improving their children's achievement. This only applies if your school receives Title I funds under the No Child Left Behind Act.
When you purchase ParentsCount this is what happens…
- We will customize the header, welcome greeting, and web address with the school, district, or organization name you listed on the order form.
- We will email you a media pack that will help you introduce and explain the site to your parents, along with graphics, text to put on your web site, and a web link that gives your parents access to ParentsCount -- for example:
http://your_school_or_district.parentscount.net
Many schools and districts have already enhanced their home pages by adding the ParentsCount resource to their web site.
- You must then place the link on your organization's web site.
Note: Parents will only be able to access ParentsCount by going to your web site and clicking on this link.
- Once the link is established the site will be live and your parents will have access to the wealth of information available at ParentsCount.
